Guy is President and Founder of The Insurance Advisory Group, a national insurance brokerage specializing in corporate executive benefits and private business life insurance planning.
The ever-expanding relationship between the preventative wellness initiatives that an individual can adopt during their lives and how this will impact their quality of life, has drawn Guy’s interest into the DNA Labs spectrum. As our day to day lives unfold, we should take the opportunity to explore where science and technology will benefit our overall health.
One of the key objectives that I believe requires greater traction is the connection between the cost of insurance benefits and the proactive wellness initiatives available to employers and insurers. The biggest benefactors of this approach are obviously the employees and their families.
The immediate impact of wellness and preventative healthcare services are difficult to financially quantify on a balance sheet, but the fact remains that the last couple of years has taught us that health issues that may lead to disabilities can affect anyone and can be devastating both physically and financially.
Through Guy’s 40 years of Life Insurance industry experience, he has witnessed first-hand, the impact preventative wellness has on a person’s overall health and ultimate life expectancy.
“I have the privilege of working with clients who are exceptionally talented/successful people and my hope is always that my clients will apply that same devotion to their well being as they do to their professional lives.”
In addition to his client work, Guy is actively involved in industry associations promoting the profession and providing quality advice in individual life, disability and critical illness programs.
With over 40 years of industry experience spanning leadership roles at Marsh Canada, Mercer Consulting and Sun Life Financial, Guy has been involved in, and supportive of various charitable organizations, many of whose goal is to promote the health and welfare of Canadians.
